“Music From the Golden Era” at Gomhouria Theatre

Among the ongoing endeavors of the Ministry of Culture to celebrate Arab music icons and music heritage, the Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, hosts a concert titled “Music From the Golden Era” by the National Arab Music Ensemble, conducted by Maestro Hazem El Qasabgy, at the Gomhouria Theatre on Thursday, 14 November 2024 at 8 p.m.
The program features masterpieces from the Arab music Golden Era performed by talented singers including Reem Kamal, Hend El Nahhas, Sameh Mounir, Ahmed Qamar, Enas Ezz Eldin, Belal Fawzy, Manar Samir and Ahmed Adel.
Founded in 1989, the National Arab Music Ensemble’s main objective is to revive the masterpieces of the Arab music heritage. Through collecting the classical musical heritage from different Arab nations and representing it in an academic context, the Ensemble succeeded in establishing a unique position for itself in the Arab music scene.
