Arab Music Festival 34 Scientific Conference Concludes Its Sessions and Announces Recommendations

The scientific conference accompanying the 34th edition of the Arab Music Festival, organized by the Cairo Opera House under the auspices of Dr. Reda El Wakil and managed by Maestro Dr. Mohamed El Mougy, has concluded its sessions under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Shabana, Chair of the Scientific Committee, announcing nine recommendations for this year.

The recommendations included the need to support scientific conferences and establish awards to encourage researchers to contribute their scholarly perspectives on issues concerning music in the Arab world.

They also called for holding a conference to discuss the issues and challenges facing folk music in Arab countries, to be organized annually on a rotating basis across the Arab world.

The conference further put forward several other important recommendations addressing key issues in the musical field.
