Erminia Kamel
Erminia Kamel graduated from the Scala
Ballet School, Milan, then joined the
Scala Ballet Company as a soloist. In
1982, she joined the Cairo Ballet
Company as a first dancer and came to
the Cairo Opera House in the course of
the Ballet Company’s integration.
She danced several distinguished roles,
the most important being the White Swan
Odeth in Swan Lake, Juliet in Romeo and
Juliet, Medora in Le Corsaire and Clara
in The Nutcracker. She also appeared in
Giselle, Bolero, Carmina Burana, Don
Quixote, and Cinderella.
Erminia Kamel cooperated with Abdel
Moneim Kamel in choreographing El-Nil,
Osiris and Egyptian Steps. Currently,
she holds the position of artistic
director of the
Cairo
Opera Ballet Company.
