On the Occasion of Sayed Darwish’s Centenary: A Musical Evening at Arab Music Institute

The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Dagher, continues its intellectual and cultural activities by organizing a musical evening on the occasion of the death centenary of the legendary Egyptian composer Sayed Darwish. The event is held in collaboration with the Dr. Gamal Shiha Foundation for Education, Culture, and Sustainable Development at the Arab Music Institute on Wednesday, 27 December 2023 at 7 p.m.
Attended by the grandson of the great composer, Mohamed Sayed Darwish, the evening features Al Warsha Ensemble conducted by Hassan Al-Geratly. During the evening, Al Warsha Ensemble performs a number of Sayed Darwish’s celebrated works that played a key role in enriching the heritage of Arab music.
