National Arab Music Ensemble Celebrates Al Andalib Al Asmar at Gomhouria Theatre*

In commemoration of Abdel Halim Hafez’s birth Anniversary, the Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, is hosting a concert by the National Arab Music Ensemble, conducted by Maestro Dr. Mostafa Helmy, at the Gomhouria Theatre on Friday, 7 June 2024 at 8:30 p.m.
The concert’s program features a selection of Abdel Halim Hafez’s masterpieces performed by Ahmed Saeed, Ahmed Essam, Mohamed Tarek, Ashraf Waleed, and Yehia Abdel Halim.
Founded in 1989, the National Arab Music Ensemble’s main objective is to revive the masterpieces of the Arab music heritage. Through collecting the classical musical heritage from different Arab nations and representing it in an academic context, the Ensemble succeeded in establishing a unique position for itself in the Arab music scene
