Kawkab El Sharq Ensemble at Cairo Opera House on New Year’s Eve

The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamia Zayed, hosts a concert by Kawkab El Sharq Ensemble, conducted by Maestro Mohamed Abdel Sattar, with the participation of qanun player Dr. Maha El Araby and artistic supervision by Dr. Atef Imam at the Small Hall on Tuesday, 31december 2024 at 8 p.m.
The concert’s program includes a selection of Umm Kulthum’s iconic songs featured by Asmaa El Desouky, Noha El Masry, Logayn Tamer, Eman Mansour, Malak Hany, Esraa Essam, Sandra Emad, Fatma Methni, Mariam Hany, and ney soloist Dr. Amal ElbHanawy.
Kawkab El Sharq Ensemble is one of the distinguished music ensembles that includes a number of talented female musicians and singers. By featuring different genres of Arab music, the Ensemble aspires to highlight the role of women in the field of music and singing.
