The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamia Zayed, hosts a concert titled "Mosaic... When Arabic Music Meets Jazz" by violinist Mohamed Sharara at the Small Hall on Tuesday, 7 January 2025, at 8 p.m.
The concert’s program includes a selection of Arab and world-famous compositions.
Mohamed Sharara comes from a musical family. At the age of seven, Sharara started studying violin at the Cairo Conservatoire and in 2005 he obtained his BA with honors. In 2006, he moved to Germany furthering his studies at the Augsburg Musik Hochschule and the Nürnberg Musik Hochschule.
As a soloist, Sharara performed with many highly acclaimed orchestras.
In 2012, he started his conducting career conducting several professional orchestras such as the Cairo Symphony Orchestra, Norrköping Symphony Orchestra and Linköping Symphony Orchestra.
