Cairo Symphony Orchestra Presents “Azerbaijani Flair” at the Main Hall

In celebration of the centenary of Azerbaijani leader Heydar Aliyev, the Cairo Opera House, in collaboration with the Azerbaijani Embassy in Cairo, is hosting a concert featuring the Cairo Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Yalchin Adigozalov with pianist Yegana Akhundova. The concert is held at the Main Hall on Saturday, 25 November at 8 p.m. and features a number of Azerbaijani musical compositions.

Heydar Aliyev (1923-2003), the former president of Azerbaijan and a national leader, dedicated his life to strengthening the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Under his leadership, Azerbaijan entered a new phase in its contemporary history, becoming an active player in the international community and attracting global attention as an emerging state in the Caucasus region. He was affectionately known as the “Father”, a title bestowed upon him by the Azerbaijani people.
