Cairo Symphony orchestra commemorating Shostakovich's 50th Death Anniversary

Under the Auspices of Ministry of Culture, Cairo Opera House under the supervision of Dr Alaa Abdel Salam hosts a concert by Cairo Symphony Orchestra at the opening of its 67th season, conducted by Maestro Ahmed El-Saedi and featuring violinist Salma Sorour on Saturday , 6 September 2025 at the Main Hall - 9 P.m

The program features Shostakovich's Symphony No. 12, commemorating the 50th anniversary of his death, along with Jean Sibelius' Violin Concerto.
