Baligh Hamdi’s Compositions at Gomhouria Theatre

Works by the great music composer, Baligh Hamdi, are going to be presented by the Arab Opera Stars and conducted by Maestro Abdel Hamid Abdel Ghafar. The event will take place at the Ghomhouria Theater on Friday, 22 September 2023 at 8:30 p.m. The concert includes various songs performed by Maryam, Zeina, Mohamed Metwally, Sabreen El Najili, Yasser Suleiman, and the violinist Ihab Abdel Hamid.
Baligh Hamdi was born in 1931 and mastered playing the oud at the age of nine. He gained fame in 1957 with his first work for Abdel Halim Hafez titled “Tukhonuh”. Afterward, he collaborated with Egyptian and Arab singing stars. His compositions are characterized by their simplicity and ease. He passed away on September 12, 1993, at the age of 62, leaving behind a rich artistic legacy.
