“Andalusia: A Delayed Spring” at Damanhour Opera House’s Arabic Language Nights

In cooperation with the Poetry and Arts Forum of the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, the Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, organizes an evening titled “Andalusia: A Delayed Spring” at Damanhour Opera House on Monday, 20 May 2024, at 7 p.m..
The event is the twelfth night of the Arabic Language Nights, which are part of the cultural and intellectual activities held at Damanhour Opera House. “Andalusia: A Delayed Spring” is a poetic play that features an important historical period in Andalusia, dramatizing significant events while employing classical Arabic.
The play is performed by the Alexandria University Choir under the leadership of Dr. Sherine El-Hadini and under the supervision of Dr. Najwa Saber. Directed by Ahmed Samir, dances are choreographed by Nasr El-din Mohamed, and the costumes are designed by Amira Abdel Shafi.
