Alexandria Opera House String Orchestra Plays Egyptian Music

Under the title “Egyptian Music”, the Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Dagher, hosts a concert by the Alexandria Opera House String Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Mohamed Saad Basha, featuring flutist Safaa Abdel Rahman and narrator Mohamed Hosny at Alexandria Opera House “Sayed Darwish Theatre” on Friday, 24 November 2023 at 8 p.m.
The concert program includes classical works by Egyptian composers like Nader Abbassi “New Conception for an Egyptian Old Song”; Khaled Shokry “Cavaliers Suite”; Mohamed Saad Basha “Characters from the Alley”; Gamal Abdel Rahim “Little Suite for String Orchestra”; Sherif Mohie El Din “The Beginning..The End..Perhaps”; and Rageh Daoud “Salah Jahin Quatrains”.
The Alexandria Opera House String Orchestra was officially founded by Dr. Nevine El Mahmoudy and gave many successful concerts throughout Egypt. Noteworthy, the Orchestra participated in several national and international festivals which were held within the framework of the cultural cooperation between Egypt and countries all over the world.
